No laughing matter this; Leiking, left, says Shafie Apdal has told him he is not aware of how these ‘alleged projects’ were distributed in Sabah, nor does he personally know the Water Department officers concerned.

The MACC have not made it clear on the specifics of what were the details of the massive corruption by the two Sabah Government officers of Jabatan Air Negri Sabah Official No. 1 & No. 2 (JAO1 & JAO2), AND yet my Parliamentarian colleague from Tenom, Datuk Raime Unggi, and Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan have come out with statements directly and indirectly implicating Datuk Shafie Apdal.

I put it to them that if they both have proof of any links by Datuk Shafie or his former Ministry (of Rural and Regional Development) and in relation to the ‘Alleged act of Corruption’ by the Sabah State Government Officials (JAO1 & JAO2) then it is morally and legally a responsibility of Datuk Raime and Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan to make a police report against Datuk Shafie Apdal.

This is what Sabahans want from these two newsmakers (lawmakers).

Let the truth prevail and let the public know who decides on these projects allegedly connected to the JAO1 & JAO2 Sabah State Government Officers who are (by the way) directly under Tan Sri Pairin Kitingan’s Ministry of Infrastructure.

I have asked Datuk Shafie Apdal face to face and he has affirmatively told me he does not know the two State Government officials personally, that he does not have dealings with them and that he is also not aware of how these ‘alleged projects’ were distributed in Sabah, and how is it that the State of Sabah, especially the Minister of Finance as well as the Minister of Infrastructure Sabah can deny they are not aware as it is under Sabah’s purview.

Even Musa in yesterday’s news seems to have admitted that there is something wrong in Sabah Government’s contractual award procedures and delivery system hence a revamp. Aah is that a clue of the failure of the so called A+ rating State Government?

Hence he (Shafie) and myself urges the MACC to investigate and reveal the entire truth and let the truth prevail for all Sabahans to see.
