Warisan KK Hands Out Free Spectacles For Needy Students And Senior Citizens

KOTA KINABALU : Warisan Kota Kinabalu on Thursday launched the ‘Spectacles for the Needy’ programme under the #WarisanCares initiative to help underprivileged students and senior citizens residing in Kota Kinabalu.

In a statement, Warisan Luyang Branch Chief, Samuel Wong said, Warisan Kota Kinabalu are giving out 300 spectacles with prescription lenses to help needy students and senior citizens. A local optical centre has been appointed to provide free prescription services.

“Schools had fully reopened recently, and inflation is getting serious. Many underprivileged families are struggling during this hard time.

“Education is still a priority. We hope this initiative will lessen their financial burden. Senior citizens are also welcomed to apply for the programme,” Samuel said.

Warisan Kota Kinabalu Youth Secretary, James Yim said, Kota Kinabalu Warisan Youth will work closely with Kota Kinabalu district branches to offer various services and assistance to the people in need in Kota Kinabalu area.
