KOTA KINABALU – The resolutions achieved at the Malaysia Day Forum organised by United Pasokmomogun Kadazandusun Murut Organisation (UPKO) political bureau will be presented to Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for consideration and implementation.
Acting UPKO president Datuk Madius Tangau said the resolutions would be handed over to the prime minister at UPKO assembly scheduled for Nov 12.
Madius said the resolutions contained, among others, recommendations and matters to be taken into consideration in the implementation of the Malaysian Agreement 1963 (MA63), including efforts to strengthen and unite all MA63-related committees formed by the state and federal government.
Besides, there was a suggestion for all quarters, be it the government, opposition and non-governmental organisations, to come together to look into the MA63 so that those which had yet to be implemented, could be implemented well, he told reporters after closing the forum Thursday.
Among the panelists at the forum were Sabah Special Tasks Minister Datuk Teo Chee Kang, who is also Liberal Democratic Party president, and Universiti Malaysia Sarawak senior lecturer Dr Arnold Puyok.
