KUNAK – The police have detained two teenagers and a man in connection with drug trafficking in Kunak Monday night.

Twenty-two packets containing about 80.35 grammes of syabu were seized from the suspects aged between 16 and 20.

Kunak police chief, Supt Mohd Nasaruddin M. Nasir said the suspects, including an Indonesian, were nabbed at a temporary sawmill factory at 9.15pm.

“The police seized RM2,943 from a sling bag found in a car driven by one of the suspects.

“The money is believed to be proceeds from the sale of drugs. Also seized were two mobile phones and an Indonesian passport,” he told reporters here today.
