Tenom Motorcyclist Dies After Crashing Into Road Sign In Labuan

Remains of the deceased lying on the road where he had crashed into a signpost early Sunday morning.

LABUAN: A 21-year-old man died when he crashed into a road sign downtown Sunday after losing control of his Modenas Kriss motorcycle.


The deceased, identified as Bobleeroy Salleh from Tenom, was said to be heading towards Jalan Tun Mustapha when the incident occurred at Jalan Bunga Matahari at 4.45am.

He sustained severe head and chest injuries due to the impact of the crash and is said to have died on the spot.

Preliminary investigations showed that after losing control of his machine, the bike skidded, and Bobleeroy fell, before he crashed into the road sign.

Labuan police chief Supt. Muhamad Farid Ahmad said the case has been classified under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
