KOTA KINABALU: The Telipok-Kiulu-Rondogung-Ranau road construction project is expected to be ready ahead of schedule.

Minister of Infrastructure Development Datuk Peter Anthony said the progress of the road construction has reached 97.03 per cent.

The date of completion should be this Dec 23.

He was responding to Kiulu Assemblyman Joniston Bangkuai’s question on the progress of the 60-kilometre road construction project which costs RM288 million and was started three years ago.

Meanwhile, Peter disclosed that the compensation payment to all landowners has been finalised and the claims are now in the final stage of approval by the Sabah Land and Survey Department.

“I believe all the compensation payment will be made as soon as it is approved,” he said when answering Joniston’s supplementary question on the compensation payment during the State Legislative Assembly on Monday.
