KUALA LUMPUR: Felda United FC failed to take advantage of playing on home ground when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Petaling Jaya (PJ) City FC in their opening Super League match at Stadium Tun Abdul Razak in Jengka tonight.

After a goalless first half, Muhammad Ariff Farhan beat the PJ City FC defence before scoring in the 47th minute to put his team ahead.

However, the joy of ‘The Settlers’ was short-lived as former national defender Mahali Jasuli caught the Felda United defence off guard to score after receiving a short pass from a free kick in the 74th minute.

In a match between two newcomers in the top league, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) and Sabah played to a goalless draw at the Kuala Lumpur Football Association Stadium in Cheras.
