KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Tourism Board (STB) has launched a domestic campaign called “#BahMariLah” to provide attractive travel deals for domestic travellers.
Its general manager, Noredah Othman said the campaign will run from July 1 to August 31 and anyone who purchases a package from the dedicated campaign website (www.sabahtourism.com/deals/) will stand a chance for a lucky draw entry.
A total of 20 winners will then be rewarded with a top-up of another local travel package.
“Since we have now moved into the recovery movement control order (RMCO) with more businesses allowed to operate and more people receptive to travel, tourism industry players are also taking the opportunity to provide travel promotions at good rates for the domestic travellers.
“We hope that locals take the opportunity to explore more of Sabah during this period,” she said in a statement.
Among the great destinations for a family gateway is Kinabatangan as it exposes children to the nature and wildlife in the state, she said.
“Meanwhile, Semporna is your gateway to idyllic islands surrounding its waters. There are many options to choose from in terms of accommodation and it would all depend on one’s budget.
“Even places such as Tenom and Keningau for their agritourism and exotic culture would be a great weekend gateway and Kudat has beautiful beaches.
“There are a lot of activities and offers available in Sabah,” said Noredah.
She hoped that the locals particularly would take the opportunity to explore more of Sabah.
