KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Tourism Board (STB) launched its new brand “Enchanting Sabah” today to attract tourists by highlighting the enchanting elements of Sabah.

Speaking at the launch of the new branding, Deputy Chief Minister, Datuk Christina Liew said that arrivals of international tourists, particularly those from Europe, would be the focus for this year.

“This year, 2020, we are going to target more international tourists including Europeans.

“It’s going to be a challenging year but it’s a good year where we believe that we will diversify our tourism sector and enhance it,” said Christina who is also the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment.

Liew said a lot of visitors are attracted to Sabah’s beautiful biodiversity and eco-tourism destinations.

“Some tourists love to see the islands, the beaches and the mountains.

“Some who love the wildlife can go to the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre,” she suggested.

Liew stated that tourists from all parts of the world are welcomed to visit Sabah as it offers a “one for all” package.

“We want to tell the tourists that they come here; one package for all. You can come here and enjoy all the packages,” she said.
