Semporna Police Investigate Teenager, 2 Others In Human Trafficking Case

SEMPORNA: Marine police here have detained three Filipinos including a teenager to facilitate investigations under the Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants Act 2007.

Sabah Region Four Marine Police acting commander Supt Norzaid Mohammad Said the suspects aged between 15 and 46 were intercepted off Kampung Halo at 6:20am yesterday in a special operation.

“They also failed to produce valid identification documents on inspection,” Bernama reported him saying in a statement here Wednesday.

The same day at 6:20am off Sibangkat, marine police also nabbed two men including a boat skipper for alleged possession of 0.06 gm of syabu.

Norzaid said the two suspects aged 32 and 50 were being investigated under the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
