SRI AMAN – The Sarawak Road Transport Department (RTD) is ready to assist the Sarawak Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) in its operation to curb Uber ride hailing service in the state if there is a demand for it.

Its director Datuk Ibrahim Othman said those involved in the Uber service operation were committing an offence for not having the public service vehicle (PSV) licence issued by RTD or a permit from CVLB.

He was met after the closing of the ‘One Community One RTD’ programme in Lubok Antu Sunday.
