Kota Kinabalu: Minister of Agriculture & Food Industry Sabah Datuk Junz Wong (photo) called Young Agropreneurs to come forward become part of the beneficiary under Young Agropreneur Grant Government Program.
He encouraged Sabahans to actively response to Government Program which aimed to provide helping hand to agriculture players.
“Do not hesitate to approach MAFI to get help, we are more than willing to assist agriculture players to achieve their goals.” He delivered his message especially to Young Agropreneurs in Sabah.
The Young Agropreneur Grant Program 2019 is a Grant under Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry, applicant must be a Malaysian between 18 to 40 years old, able to read, write and knows mathematics.
Under this program applicants has to fulfill certain criteria such as starting a new project and must attend technical training program organised or certified by MOA. For Certificate, Diploma or Degree holder applicants not necessarily to under go the technical training.
Junz notified that successful Young Agropreneur Grant Program 2019 applicants will be provided Grant once in their lifetime, and priority will be given to those doing farming activities.
The minister expressed his concern that Young Agropreneurs in Sabah must be aware and be well informed of government programmes.
Grant application is open starting from 1st to 31st January for phase 1, the second phase will be open on 1st to 31st May and Phase 3 will be on 1st to 30th September 2019. Application form can be downloaded from the link: www.moa.gov.my/agropreneur-muda
