KOTA KINABALU: Gaming outlets can get back to business with the go-ahead given by the state government today for lottery operations to resume.
The green light comes a week after lottery outlets were permitted to do so in the recovery movement control order phase of efforts to curb Covid-19 infections.
Sabah has also given the go-ahead for foreign traders and investors to enter the state.
In a statement today Chief Minister Shafie Apdal said they would be required to fill in the health declaration form and to strictly comply with the health department’s standard operating procedures.
He said swimming pools and billiard shops were also allowed to open now.
“The operating times are subject to SOPs by the health ministry and local authorities.”
But he reminded all communities in Sabah to avoid the three Cs, namely, crowded places, confined spaces and close conversations at this time.
