KOTA KINABALU: A group of Parti Warisan Sabah supporters Thursday lodged a police report against a Facebook account owner called ‘Mahadzir Osman’ who it was claimed made a statement insulting the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah Tun Juhar Mahiruddin, and the court.
The Warisan group led by businessman Nordin Ening said the report was to urge the police to conduct an investigation into the Facebook account owner for making the derogatory statement.
“The account owner used harsh words. Such provocation is too much, and we want stern action to be taken against him,” he told Bernama after lodging the report at the Kota Kinabalu District Police Headquarters here.
Nordin said the incident should not have taken place and it must be curbed before it gets worse in the future.
Based on a copy of the text uploaded on FB that was provided to the police, the account holder allegedly used words like ‘bodoh’ (stupid) aimed at the court and the TYT following the decision made by the Kota Kinabalu High Court on Wednesday that Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie Apdal was the rightful Chief Minister of Sabah.
It is believed that the ‘Mahadzir Osman’ FB account is fictitious.
The account holder has previously also posted derogatory and provocative comments on other Warisan personalities.
