‘Pokemon Go’ In The City Very Much Alive; Trainers Have Sunday Gathering

By BORNEOTODAY
KOTA KINABALU: More than 100 ‘Pokemon Go Trainers’ or players from Kota Kinabalu and its suburbs had an unofficial gathering at Tanjung Lipat Park Sunday afternoon.

They played games – ‘catching pokemon’ and ‘raid gym’ competition. This is a first time ‘Pokemon Go’ players get-together.

A spokesman said all of them are all players, and since they seldom meet each other, they decided to have a ‘day-to-meet’ and “raid gym” together.

During the game format, players were divided into three teams; Valour, Mystic and Instinct.

Under the new game system, players had to work together to ‘raid the gym boss’ irrespective of the player being from which team.

The theme for the gathering was “Pokemon Go Sabah Unity”.

More gatherings are in the offing, said the spokesman who gave his name as Lee, “as everyone had lots of fun.”
