The repair was completed recently, providing ease of access to surrounding communities, including close to 300 students of Sekolah Kebangsaan Gayang who commute to school along the 1.4km stretch of the road.
The initiative, carried out in collaboration with the State Public Works Department and Tuaran District Office, is part of PSCB Sabah’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts under the community well-being and development focus area.
Head of PCSB, Sabah Assets, Mohd Nazlee Rasol said, “We care for the communities around us and will strive to assist in whichever way we can. The road restoration is an example of such efforts where we address the needs of the communities at our area of operations.”
To mark the completion of restoration works, PCSB Sabah recently handed over the upkeep of the road to the State Public Works Department and Tuaran District Office at a ceremony in Kampung Gayang.
