KOTA KINABALU: Penampang Christmas Thanksgiving 2018 will be held at Buhavan Square in Donggongon, Penampang on Sunday Dec 16.
Organised by the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Penampang under Member of Parliament Datuk Darell Leiking, the event will start at 4pm.
Organizing chairman Micheal Tann Jr said there will be caroling by four churches and a soloist.
“There will be a special appearance by Sabah’s very own accapela group, Male – Efficient” he said adding that the group consist of all male singers and they recently won a recent competition at Bali Indonesia.
Minister of International Trade and Industry cum Penampang Member of Parliament Darell Leiking will be officiating the event which carries the tagline ‘Penampang We Care’.
“As part of the program, we will be handing over donations to several welfare homes, 12 schools and nine Chinese temples in Penampang,” said Michael.
He added that they are expecting more than 2,000 people from all walk of life. This is a special event where we are giving back to the society,” he said.
Meanwhile the Pusat Khidmat Rakyat Penampang will be visiting the needy in Penampang and also the three government hospitals in Kota Kinabalu.
