KOTA KINABALU: The operating hours of restaurants, pharmacies, convenience stores and petrol stations during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in the state, have been extended until 8 pm effective tomorrow. (Oct 17).
Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun said the new operating hours are 6 am to 8 pm, compared to 6 am to 6 pm previously.
“However, the extension of this operating time does not include grocery stores or mini markets, hypermarkets and supermarkets,” he said in a statement here today.
On Oct 12, Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the whole of Sabah would be under CMCO from Oct 13 until Oct 26.
Meanwhile, Masidi said the distribution of food basket aid to the target group was proceeding smoothly and to date, a total of 35,672 food baskets had been distributed.
“To the people of Sabah, we must always obey the advice issued by the Ministry of Health at all time. Let us all break the COVID-19 chain,” he said.
