KOTA KINABALU: The total number of Covid-19 cases in Sabah remained at 366 with no new cases registered today.
In his Facebook account, Health and People’s Well-being Minister Datuk Frankie Poon said there were nine remaining active cases in the state with four in Tuaran, three in Penampang and one each in Tawau and Papar.
The total number of recovered patients also remained at 350, with the death toll still at seven.
Meanwhile, nationwide recoveries continued to outpace new cases, with 45 patients discharged while only six new cases were recorded today.
Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah in a press conference said, the total number of recovered patients tallied to 8,231 while the latest confirmed cases pushed the number to 8,596.
Of the six new cases, four were local transmissions involving Malaysians, while the remaining two were imported cases, one a foreigner and the other a Malaysian.
Malaysia is left with 244 active cases with the death toll remaining at 121.
