And two patients recovered from the virus infection at the same time, said caretaker Health and People’s Well-being Minister Datuk Frankie Poon.
He said the new recoveries, both in Penampang, pushed the overall total to 384 recoveries, with 18 active cases still being treated in hospitals statewide.
The active cases comprise 10 in Sandakan, four in Penampang, two in the state capital and one each in Papar and Beluran.
The cumulative number of infections remains at 410 cases throughout Sabah.
Nation-wide there was more recoveries compared to new cases nationwide, with 47 recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of patients discharged to 8,775.
Seven new infections were recorded, including six imported cases, tallying the total to 9,070.
Active cases nationwide now number 170 including two being treated in the intensive care unit, with one needing respiratory assistance.
