KOTA KINABALU – Sabah MIC will hold its Deepavali ‘open house’ at the Likas Sports Complex from 10am to 2pm on Oct 30.
State MIC chief Datuk V Jothi said the ‘open house’ would be graced by the presence of the Yang di Pertua Negeri Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Juhar Mahiruddin and Toh Puan Datuk Seri Panglima Norlida Tan Sri RM Jasni.
Also attending will be Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Aman and his wife Datin Seri Panglima Datuk Hajah Faridah Haji Tussin.
State Cabinet ministers, assistant ministers and Barisan Nasional component party leaders are also expected to attend, along with members of the public.
Wishing members of the Indian community in Sabah a very happy and meaningful Deepavali celebration, Jothi said the prevailing peace and harmony has made it possible for the State’s multiracial society to join in the various cultural and religious celebrations.
