LABUAN: A 33-year-old man was found dead in his own four-wheel drive vehicle parked by the road side near the popular hiking site of Tanjung Kubong Monday afternoon.
The deceased was found in the driving seat of his car with the engine was still running by a group of hikers around 6pm.
Labuan police chief Supt. Muhamad Farid Ahmad said Labuan police operation room received a call from a member of the public on the discovery of the man at 6.25pm and immediately dispatched a patrol team to the scene.
“The deceased was wearing sports outfit when he was found unconscious in his car by a group of hikers, and the medical team confirmed the man had died and there was no element of criminal to his death,” he said to reporters today.
Based on a preliminary investigation the deceased had a medical history with high blood pressure.
The police classified the case as sudden death and a post mortem will be conducted today.
