Let Us Sabahans and Sarawakians Unite And Fight To Reclaim Our Rights

KOTA KINABALU : DAP did not fulfil what they have promised in their manifesto for Sabah and Sarawak when they were in the federal government.

“Pakatan Harapan (PH) election manifesto has vowed to raise the oil royalty for Sabah and Sarawak from 5% to 20%, but was not fulfilled,” said Warisan Kota Kinabalu Division Information Chief, Samuel Wong.

He challenges DAP and their counterparts in PH to reinclude the same vow to return 20% oil royalty to Sabah and Sarawak in their 15th General Election (GE15) manifesto.

“What about the manifesto on 40% state revenue, education and healthcare rights to be returned to Sabah and Sarawak? Did PH fulfil these?

“Sabahans and Sarawakians were anticipating major developments after GE14, but the PH government failed miserably. Various excuses were given,” he said in a statement released here today.

“Did Sabah PH leaders vehemently voiced out their discontentment on this matter to their KL bosses? Were they tight-lipped because they are just a ‘Yes Man’?

“How can you truly fight for Sabah when there’s conflict of interests?

“Where did Datuk Frankie Poon, Phoong Jin Zhe and Chan Foong Hin get their votes from? Sabahans gave you their votes but you are not fighting for Sabah? Don’t expect Sabahans to vote for you again,” Samuel asserted.

With the GE15 is just around the corner, PH leaders from Kuala Lumpur will be flocking to Sabah again telling us that they will fight for Sabah’s rights.

“Do not deceive and mislead Sabahans again! Do not take us as pawns to serve your own political agenda.

“I dare DAP to repeat their promises to Sabahans and Sarawakians,” he said.

Samuel, who is also Warisan Luyang Chinese Coordinator emphasised that Sabah is still lagging behind as it is one of the poorest states in Malaysia after years of dominance by Malaya parties.

“It is time for Sabahans to stand on our feet and rise up for our future generations.

We are more than capable of taking care of Sabah which is our own house,.

“Let us Sabahans and Sarawakians unite and fight to reclaim what’s rightful to us,” he concluded.
