Lahad Datu To Finally Get A New Main Bus Terminal At First Palm City

LAHAD DATU: Lahad Datu will have a new main bus terminal worth RM3 million, latest by the end of the year.

Titijaya Land Berhad group managing director Tan Sri Datuk Lim Soon Peng said the bus terminal, which would be built on a 0.6-hectare site at First Palm City Centre (FPCC) here, would definitely provide comfort to the public.

“It is strategically located at the FPCC, which is in the centre of the town and near to shops. It can accommodate 19 express buses at a time and will have 17 taxi parking bays.”

Lim said this to reporters after jointly officiating at the ground-breaking ceremony for the project with Sabah Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Hajiji Mohd Noor here Thursday.

Meanwhile, Hajiji said the effort of the private sector, namely, Titijaya Land Berhad and the Housing and Town Development Authority (LPPB) in developing Lahad Datu would spur the economy of the local populace.

“The residents of Lahad Datu are fortunate because the district has a potential to continue developing in numerous sectors including manufacturing and agriculture,” he added.
