Kota Belud Now Green Zone

KOTA KINABALU: Kota Belud is now a green zone district as its last Covid-19 patient in Sabah recovered today, leaving the state with only eight active cases.

With the latest recovery, the total number of recovered patients in the state had increased to 363, said Health and People’s Well-being Minister Datuk Frankie Poon.

Kota Kinabalu still has four active cases while Tawau, Ranau and Nabawan recorded one each.

No new cases were registered today, hence the total infections in Sabah remains at 378.

Nationwide, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said six new cases were reported today, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 8,683.

The new cases which all involved Malaysians were categorised as imported cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 13 more patients had recovered which brought total recoveries in Malaysia to 8,499. This also translates to 97.9 per cent in recovery rate.

With the latest recoveries, the country is left with only 63 active cases with two patients still being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and one of them requiring respiratory assistance.

The death toll remained at 121 for the 25th consecutive day.
