KK Now Green Zone

KOTA KINABALU: Kota Kinabalu was declared a green zone after its last Covid-19 patient recovered today.

Health and People’s Well-being Minister Datuk Frankie Poon said with the latest recovery, Sabah is now left with three active cases.

The three cases are in Tuaran, Keningau and Nabawan.

The recovery had increased the tally of recovered patients to 370.

No new cases were reported hence the state’s case tally remained at 380.

In Putrajaya, Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham announced three new cases today, bringing the tally of nationwide Covid-19 infections to 8,737.

Of the three cases, one was an imported case involving a local in Sarawak, while the other two were local transmissions involving foreigners who tested positive after a screening test at the Federal Territory Immigration Detention Deport.

The total number of recoveries in Malaysia has also increased to 8,538 as 12 patients were discharged today.

This brings the total number of active cases in Malaysia to 77, including three in the intensive care unit (ICU) with one of them requiring ventilator support.

The death toll remained at 122.
