Hungarian Wins Male Title In Labuan Round Island Kayak Race

LABUAN: The Labuan Round Island Kayak Challenge 2019 today attracted increase participants from all parts of the country and neighbouring Brunei.

Among the participants were from Sabah, Sarawak, Terengganu, Johore, Perak, Pahang, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

The half-day event was flagged off by Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad at the Sea Sports Complex in conjunction with the Labuan International Sea Challenge 2019.

The international event (male single [closed] category) was won by Kasmiewandi Kassim from Persatuan Kanu Labuan, Madzan Yunus from Persatuan Homestay Labuan and Abdul Mutalib Sahari from Persatuan Kanu Labuan won the third place.

Men double won by sibling Nazmar Sukarno and Shahdan Sukarno from Labuan.

Winner of mixed double was Ahmad Saifuddin Jamaluddin and Myrza Fasha Md Hamyrudin, second place (Muhammah Sahri Tanim and Siti Emmah Talip, while Hafizuddin Mohamad and Nazera Roslan emerged third placing.

Male single open category won by Hungarian Tibor Virag, Mohd Noh Parmin (second place, Malaysia) and Khairul Amri Ibrahim from Persatuan Kanu Terengganu got the third place.

Fajan Satta and Imam Sujadi Satta won the men double open category while Mohd Azlan Ibrahim and Nusaibah Syahida Ibrahim the second place.
