SANDAKAN: There is no ending to the government’s efforts in bringing development to the people to ensure them a peaceful and comfortable life, says Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman.
He said it was the government’s commitment to meeting the needs of the people.
“The Barisan Nasional-led government is always sensitive to the needs of the people and will find the best approach to assisting them, especially those who require aid, care and attention,” he added.
Speaking at the handing-out of Ramadan zakat (tithe) to 835 recipients in Kampung Padas, near here, Musa said to ensure that the people’s needs were always being heard, the “turun padang” (going-to-the-ground) concept had become a priority for BN leaders.
“In fact, BN leaders going to the ground to meet the people is not seasonal but carried out before, during and after the elections.
“This is to ensure that the people are being cared for at all times, with their problems and needs voiced out being overcome with the best measures,” he said.
Musa said even in the month of Ramadan, the “turun padang” action continued with the focus on helping the needy reduce their financial burden.
He said Ramadan was no excuse for BN leaders to rest and relax, but to work harder for the good of the people.
