Government, GLC Media Relations Officials Received Recognition

LABUAN: Twenty government and government-linked companies media relations officials today received certificate of appreciation as part of their contributions on public information to media practitioners in Labuan.

The letter of appreciation from Labuan Media Practitioner Association was presented by its patron Datuk Rozman Isli.

Among those received were ASP Abd Aziz Abu Hashim’s from Sabah marine police (Region 4), Lieutenant Maritim Fuazd Firdhaus Md Zain, Labuan Corporation corporate affairs director Dayang Salmah Abbas, Labuan police contingent media relations officer, Insp. Juwita Ahmad Tarmizi and Federal Territories Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP) officer Amelia Hazarena Matahir.

Also received were Labuan Fire and Rescue Department media officer Pain Muzal, Labuan Health Department officer Hanif Abdul Khatam, Anizar Azizi Mohd Anek (Education Department), Zubaidah Kilo (Malaysia Fisheries Development Authority), Mohd Najib Sulaiman (Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs), Fauziah Mohd Sidek (RTM Labuan deputy director), Supian Musa (Labuan Information Department director) and Maggie Teng from Labuan Financial Services Authority.

Those from GLCs and private sectors were Mohamad Nur Ferdaus Saperi from Labuan Parliament Office, S.K Tan from Tiong Hua Chamber of Commerce, Mohammad Rizduan Ibrahim (Yayasan Pembangunan Labuan), Aswadee Taba (Labuan Karate Association), Majena Achan (Labuan International Golf Club) and Zyee Faiezah Dullie Marie (Labuan Shipyard Engineering Sdn Bhd).

Labuan Media Practitioner Association president Jainudin Djimin said appreciation letter to the recipients had long been planned and only implemented today due to time constraints.

“We appreciate and recognise their contribution, patients and understanding the media practioners’ roles.

“Their contribution of preparing statement to media practitioners had made our job easier,” he said.
