Go-ahead For Family Fun Centres

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has today allowed the reopening of family entertainment operations in the state.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the state government has agreed to allow the resumption of game arcades, indoor amusement parks, children’s play gym and. edutainment centres

Besides that, the state has also approved the reopening of machine operated amusement and game technology as well as family karaoke centres.

This is in line with the announcement made by the federal government on July 10 to allow such activities to resume, he said.

“The business operating time must follow the Health Ministry’s standard operating procedures as well as the local authorities and other related authority,” he said, in a statement here.

“The state government reminds the people especially patrons at these premises to practise social distancing, wear face masks and use hand sanitisers to curb the spread of Covid-19.”
