KOTA KINABALU: Warisan has yet again taken a swipe at Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).
This follows the recent announcement of the SOP under Phase 2 of the National Recovery Plan.
Samuel Wong who is Warisan Kota Kinabalu Branch Chief in a statement on Saturday said, the state administration must show leadership.
“GRS needs to find a backbone.”
“Leadership must be shown via an unequivocally clear decision.”
“We cannot just let the Federal Government decide everything, as they do not understand Sabah’s situation.”
Samuel explained, business owners, especially food related businesses are once again left in a limbo.
“Eatery operators on one hand are hearing that they can operate, but on another hand feel worried about being summoned because the state administration has not given any assurances.”
As such, the state must intervene he said.
“So the leaders of the Sabah State Government must take charge and make a clear stand whether or not dining-in is allowed.”
He elaborated, regardless what the final outcone is, the people’s best interest must be priority.
“Even if GRS now thinks that dining-in cannot be allowed due to the Covid-19 situation being complicated, there is no shame in back-trackking.”
“What is most important is to make a decision with the best interest of Sabahans at heart.”
“But for God’s sake, make a clear stand!”
