GE15: Incumbent Rozman Isli Faces Six-Cornered Fight For Labuan Parliamentary Seats

LABUAN: The Labuan Parliament seat saw a six-cornered fight involving three former friends in Umno, while three other new faces in the General Election (GE15).

The fight is between the incumbent, Parti Warisan Labuan division leader Datuk Rozman Isli who is opposed by Barisan Nasional (BN-Umno) candidate Datuk Bashir Alias and Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman (Perikatan Nasional-Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia [Bersatu].

Three other new faces participating are representing Pakatan Harapan (PH), Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM) and Parti Pejuang Tanah Air (Pejuang) each nominated Datuk Dr Ramli Tahir (Parti Amanah Labuan division head); Dayang Rusimah @ Raynie Datuk Mohd Din (PBM Labuan division head) and Datuk Seri Ramle Mat Daly who is the president of the Malaysian Service Squad Organization (PSBM).

The nomination announcement was made by the Labuan election returning officer Yusup Mohamad as soon as the nomination papers were closed at 10am this morning.

Labuan now has 44,484 voters compared to 28,356 in GE14.
