“The Covid-19 pandemic has affected all the people of this country including entrepreneurs. Throughout 2020 up until last year, a total of 176,426 entrepreneurs had to ‘go out of business’ due to the Covid-19 pandemic.”
“However, in an uncertain economic situation, I am very proud that the entrepreneur (Jasmine Sallanie Situ) and also the owner of Wine @ The Peak managed to open this restaurant.
I hope that future entrepreneurs and also those who previously had to close their businesses will rise again in their respective businesses. The Ministry of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development (MECD/KUSKOP) provides various assistance including grants, financing, training and entrepreneurial guidance for entrepreneurs.”
“In this regard, MECD has aligned the announced initiatives with the planning of the implementation of programs under the Ministry’s Strategic Plan 2023 which was launched on 17 January 2023, covering aspects of policy formulation, governance and regulation, capacity development, access to financing, market access, technology adaptation and strengthening service delivery.”

In YB Datuk Ewon Benedick’s speech, he also encourages Sabahan entrepreneurs to continue to rise up and dare to explore business and marketing opportunities not only in Sabah but also further expand their business outside of the state.
Wine @ The Peak is located on the ground floor at The Peak Vista. The restaurant will be open for walk-in and reservations, every Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00pm – 11:00pm, from 21st March 2023 onwards.
