Five People Nabbed For Drug Trafficking In Labuan

LABUAN: Police have smashed a drug trafficking syndicate with the arrest of five people including four women here.

Labuan acting police chief DSP Mohd Ibrahim Mohd Ghani said police got their break when they arrested two women at a parking lot of Labuan Times Square at about noon on Thursday.

“Acting on intelligence, we nabbed the two women and recovered about 7.26 grams of syabu from one of them,” he said today.

He said the suspects then led police to a house in Jalan Pohon Batu where they arrested two men and another woman at 1.30 pm on the same day.

Police seized 78.15 grams of syabu worth about RM5,000 from them.

He said the suspects, aged between 28 and 35, have been remanded for between four and seven days for investigation.
