KOTA KINABALU: The Final Report reviewing the implementation of the Malaysian Agreement 1963 (MA63) which was completed on Aug 31 is expected to be tabled at the Cabinet Special Committee meeting within a month from now.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Law) Datuk Liew Vui Keong said the report prepared by the MA63 Special Task Force has been forwarded to Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
A copy of the report was also given to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie Apdal and Sarawak Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and has also been distributed to all members of the Steering Committee for their review.
“The formation of the Special Cabinet Committee to review the implementation of MA63 is an evidence that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) Government, the Sabah Government, and the Sarawak Government are committed to achieving the aspiration of all Sabahans and Sarawakians in fulfilling the MA63 in accordance with the Promise 40 contained in the PH Manifesto,” he said in a statement issued in Kuala Lumour on Thursday.
The statement was also released to the media in Sabah.
The Special Cabinet Committee which reviews the implementation of MA63 is assisted by the Technical Committee and the Working Committee, managed by the Special Task Force known as the Taskforce MA63.
