KOTA KINABALU – City police scored one of their biggest hauls of syabu this year when they nabbed a 34-year-old woman with 2.02kgs of the drug just before she tried to drop it off near Wisma Merdeka here earlier this week.

City police chief, Assistant Commissioner M. Chandra said the woman, who works as a salesperson, had in her possession suspected syabu with a street value of RM260,000.

The Star online reported that the drugs were found inside a box that she threw on the road as plainclothes policemen moved in on her while she was crossing the road towards the jetty in the busy city centre.

The woman from the Suluk community was believed to want to pass the drugs to another person.
