Elderly Woman Killed, 3 Injured As Myvi Goes Off Road And Falls Into Ravine

KENINGAU – An elderly woman was killed, and three others including a six-year old killed were injured when a car, went off the road at Jalan Lintas Apin-Apin, Keningau-Tambunan early Thursday morning and dropped some 20 metres into a ravine.

The victim, identified as 55-year old Kumbang Tandagan was said to have died on the spot following the accident when the driver lost control of the Myvi some time after 5.00am

The injured were identified as Nurasyah Balqis Bt Ambalu Abdullah, 29, Paturus Bungka, 48, and Beatrice Sandra Bt Stephen.

A Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) team from Keningau, headed by Asip Kaibin rushed to the scene about 25 kilometres from here and arrived at about 5.55am.

Those with light injuries were rushed to the district hospital for treatment.

Police are investigating the case.
