COVID-19: Rotary International Donates Medical Equipment To Sabah Health Dept

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Health Department today received 1,070 personal protective equipment (PPE), 50,000 face masks and 700 face shields from the Rotary International Club.

The contribution was handed over by Kota Kinabalu Rotary Club Committee member Datuk Dr Tarsiah Taman to State Health deputy director (Public Health) Dr Asits Sanna in a brief ceremony here, today. 

 Speaking to reporters after the event, Tarsiah said the contributions, for health frontliners  in Sabah, were raised through collaboration with the Rotary Clubs of Malaysia, Brunei and Singapore.

“The contribution is a way to show support by the Rotary Club to frontliners in hospitals in Sabah who have been working tirelessly to contain the spread of the COVID-19 in the state,” she said.

Meanwhile, Dr Asits expressed gratitude to the Rotary Club for the contributions and said that  they would be distributed to all hospitals in Sabah.
