Covid-19: Death Toll In Malaysia Rises To 24

KUALA LUMPUR: Another death from Covid-19 today brings the total number of fatalities in Malaysia to 24.

Health Director-General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah announced the news on his Facebook post saying the 35-year-old patient passed away at 9.30pm last night and had a travel history to Indonesia early this month.

The deceased began showing symptoms five days before being admitted to Hospital Kuala Lumpur on March 18.

Two days later the patient’s Covid-19 tests came back positive and since then rapidly declined in health.

The 23rd person to die of the novel coronavirus passed away on March 25.

He was a 62-year-old Malaysian who had a history of chronic back pain.

According to Dr Hisham, he was treated at the Raja Perempuan Bainun Hospital in Ipoh, Perak, on March 23.
