COVID-19: 241 Vehicles At The Ready For Use In Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: A total of 241 vehicles are at the ready to assist in COVID-19 related matters in Sabah, said state Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun.

The Sabah COVID-19 spokesman said in a statement today that, of the total, 44 vehicles were used to transport COVID-19 patients, 35 to deliver food baskets to targeted locations and the remaining 162 vehicles of various types were ready to be mobilised if necessary.

According to Masidi, who is also Finance Minister II, the state Information Department’s Info On Wheels also made public announcements on compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) at 115 locations in 16 districts in five languages, namely the national language, Mandarin, Dusun, Bajau and Iranun.

He said, to date, 260,880 food baskets had also been distributed to targeted groups.

“Firm co-operation from all parties is very important in an effort to break the COVID-19 chain, by complying with the stipulated SOP and adopting the new normal in daily life,” he added.
