KOTA KINABALU: The close cooperation between the parties in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition is the aspiration of the Sabah people to see more development implemented in the state, said Bersatu vice president Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee.
Kiandee, who is also Agriculture and Food Industries Minister believed that the planning drafted by the state government would spur economic growth in the state and open up more job opportunities for its people.
He said the commitment of the federal government to provide strong cooperation to the Sabah government would drive economic growth and ensure political stability in the state.
“The federal government under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) is aware of the development gap in Sabah compared to other states in the country,” he said in a statement here today.
Kiandee who is also Beluran member of parliament said the Sabah state government led by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had given a new boost to the state’s development agenda.
Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin in the townhall session entitled “Prosper Together With Sabah 2030” held at the Sabah State Administrative Centre here today expressed the federal government’s commitment to bridging the socio-economic gap in Sabah within a 10 year period.
