City Cops Nab Trio Who Molested Female Joggers At Teluk Likas Track

KOTA KINABALU: Three youths, aged between 16 and 20, were nabbed by police last Tuesday, a week after two women joggers filed a police reported that they were robbed and molested while at the Teluk Likas jogging track.

Assistant Commissioner Chandra Muthu said the three suspects were picked up on July 11 around Kampung Likas after a tip off.

He said police recovered a Sony Compact and a receipt for a Sony E 5803 Imei, believed to have been disposed by the trio after stealing it from the joggers.

According to ACP Chandra, the two women were exercising at the jogging track when they were accosted by three men, who had earlier made snide remarks as they entered the jogging area.

Two of the men were said to have embraced one of the women from behind, while the third grabbed the handphone of one of them.

The victim managed to eventually shake loose from the duo and both ran away from their attackers.

A police report was filed shortly after.
