Chief Minister Drops By Ranau Hospital To Check On Jimmy Wong

KOTA KINABALU: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Shafie bin Haji Apdal dropped by at the Ranau district hospital Friday evening to visit DAP lawmaker Datuk Jimmy Wong who was rushed to hospital just before the launch of the Sabah-level National Day launch at the Ranau Town Padang.

Datuk Seri Shafie advised his assistant minister  to take have plenty of rest and to go for a thorough medical check-up upon his discharge from hospital.

He was accompanied by Phoong Jin Zhe the Youth and Sports Minister as well as State Secretary Datuk Seri Panglima Hashim Paijan and Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Industrial Development Datuk Madiyem Layapan.

Jimmy who is also Sri Tanjung assemblyman was rushed to the hospital after he complained of dizziness and stomach discomfort.

Last week he was admitted at the Tawau district hospital where he was put on a sodium drip treatment before being discharged.

Jimmy later said he felt tired after a hectic week and would take the Chief Minister’s advice to go for a check-up.

Datuk Seri Shafie then left for Kota Kinabalu.
