Anthony Loke Lied, Chan Never Tabled Account Of MOU’s RM4.3 Million

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Warisan has slammed DAP Secretary General, Anthony Loke for lying in a recent speech in 88 Marketplace, Kepayan, last Sunday, regarding Loke’s claim that all DAP MPs have shown the accounts of where the money received via the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ismail Sabri’s government was spent.

Loke had also admitted that DAP MPs throughout the country had received a total of RM160 million, including Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament, Chan Foong Hin.

Parti Warisan’s candidate for Kota Kinabalu, Amanda Yeo Yan Yan Yin said DAP should not belittle the intelligence of Sabahans.

“DAP Secretary General, Anthony Loke flew in all the way from Kuala Lumpur to lie to the people of Kota Kinabalu.

“Does he think that we Sabahans are stupid and dumb who will blindly believe whatever he says?

“DAP’s incumbent Kota Kinabalu Member of Parliament, Chan Foong Hin never tabled the accounts of how his RM4.3 million was spent.”

“It is an outright lie to say that DAP MPs have shown the accounts.”

“Where is the account? Nobody in Kota Kinabalu knows where Chan’s RM4.3 million went because Chan never showed his account!”

In a statement released here today, Amanda said Warisan had repeatedly urged Pakatan Harapan (PH) MPs to show where the RM4.3 million was spent, but such calls were ignored by PH.

“Who received the RM4.3 million? Which contractor was appointed to do Chan Foong Hin’s works? How much were the contractors paid? Nobody knows,” she said.

Amanda reiterated the importance of voting Parti Warisan to ensure checks and balance all the way to the top, in order to safeguard Sabah’s rights.

“Had Warisan not exposed this hundreds of millions in late 2021, nobody would know that this money exist.

“Finally after one whole year, DAP’s top leader has admitted to the money received via the MOU because they have no other choice but to answer due to growing public pressure in the eve of polling day.”

“Now I urge the people of Kota Kinabalu and Sabah to give Warisan a bigger mandate in GE-15.”

“If a dozen Warisan MPs had the ability to expose such questionable deals between UMNO and PH, Warisan can do much more with a bigger mandate.

“We as Sabahans will be able to mount an even greater pressure on our rights over Sabah’s oil and gas, frozen food exports, Sabah’s tourism industry licenses and hiring of foreign labour.

“There are many more for us Sabahans to demand for our rights to be returned. We don’t have to blindly follow the direction of West Malaysian politicians,” she concluded.
