AIM Approves RM4 Million For 1,500 Friends Of AIM From Tawau

TAWAU – Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) has approved loans to 1,500 entrepreneurs under AIM from the Tawau 2 branch involving half of the RM8 million fund provided.

The AIM manager for Southern Sabah Region, Suharno Ali said so far the percentage of repayment for all the loans reached an encouraging level of 98 per cent.

“AIM provides loans of between RM3,000 to RM20,000 to every Sahabat AIM to help the entrepreneurs, especially women in getting loans to develop their respective business,” he said at the official opening of ‘Kelab Usahawan An Nisa Cawangan Tawau 2 AIM’, here Sunday.

When officiating the opening of the club, Sabah Assistant Minister of Resource and Information Technology Development Datuk Hamisa Samat said the state government always supported efforts to empower women entrepreneurs.

She said such efforts by AIM had the potentials to assist more women entrepreneurs in securing capital to expand their business and thus raising their economy.
