KOTA KINABALU – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman said the appointment of Datuk Amar Abang Johari Tun Openg as the new Sarawak Chief Minister will bring continued political stability and economic development to the State.

“I congratulate Abang Johari on his appointment as the new Sarawak CM. I believe he will keep Sarawak on the right path,” he said in a statement Friday after Abang Johari was sworn as the 6th Sarawak Chief Minister, taking over from Tan Sri Adenan Satem, who passed away suddenly on Wednesday.

Musa who is also Sabah Finance Minister said Abang Johari being a nine-term assemblyman for Satok and having held various prominent posts in government, brings vast experience to the table.

“Sarawak is not only a close neighbour but we are like family. I look forward to working closely with Abang Johari and forge greater cooperation between our governments for mutual benefit,” he said.
