180 Bus And Taxi Drivers In labuan Get Ramadan Food Baskets

LABUAN: One hundred and twenty bus drivers and 60 cabbies received food baskets of RM100 each from Labuan Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) today in conjunction with Ramadan.

Labuan Bersatu chief Datuk Suhaili Abdul Rahman said the 180 baskets were part of the 500 baskets it distributed to the needy here.

“We hope the contribution will help ease the financial burden of the recipients, whose income has been affected by the COVID-19 movement restrictions,” he told Bernama.

He said the recipients also received “duit raya” in preparation for Aidilfitri next week.

Suhaili also said the Prime Minister’s Department had approved allocations of RM60,000 for repairing two dilapidated houses in Kg Belukut and Kg Lajau.
